Faculty Lectures/Seminars held in 2010/2011
 

Prof. A.H.O. Mensah of the Department of Marketing and Mr. Kwasi Anim of the Department of Human Resource Management on 27th October, 2010, took part in a symposium entitled How have we fared? This was an event in the celebration of the 10th anniversary of MUCG.

Mr. B. Tutu-Boahene of the Department of Marketing gave a seminar on the topic Service Experience Perspectives in Ghanaian Private Universities on 30th March, 2011.

The Department of Human Resource Management organized a seminar on 7th April 2011 on the theme The Single Spine Salary Structure - motivation, processes, challenges and prospects delivered by Mr. George Smith Graham, the CEO of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission.

Mr. Babonyire Adafula of the Department of Accounting gave a seminar on 29th April, 2011 on the topic Perceptual differences between Auditors and users of Financial Statement on Independent Audits: an investigation of the Audit Expectation Gap in Ghana.

The Year II students of the Department of Marketing reading the MBA Thesis Option made seminar presentations on their thesis proposals on 18th May, 2011.

The Department of Marketing organized a seminar for the Level 400 and the final Year students of the MBA programme on 27th September, 2010. The objective of the seminar was to educate them on the guidelines for writing and presenting the Long Essays.

 
CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS
Mr. J.N. Doku of the Department of Banking and Finance attended a Conference (24th - 26th November, 2010) in Cape Town, South Africa, and presented a paper entitled Market Structure and Bank Risk-taking Behaviour: Evidence from Africa.

Mr. J.N. Doku attended another conference in Canada (17th - 20th May, 2011). He presented a paper entitled Assessing Competitive Behaviour in Emerging Banking Markets: African Evidence.

The Faculty organized a Workshop for Ministers of the Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana on 6th and 7th April, 2011. The principal organizers of the Workshop were Rev. A. Sackey on behalf of the Accra Diocese and the Vice Dean Mr. Eleke Aboagye on behalf of MUCG. Lecturers/Facilitators and their topics at the Workshop were:
