CHARACTER BUILDING IS USEFUL TO THE GLOBAL ECONOMY AT LARGE – PROF. ADJEPONG
 

The Methodist University College Ghana has organized a three day orientation programme for freshmen and women who have been given admission on 23rd,24th and 25th September , 2009 at the Dansoman campus.

The orientation was designed to welcome and introduced all entering students by various speakers from the University College, to introduce entering freshmen and women to the opportunities and responsibilities of academic life at MUCG and to integrate freshmen into life at MUCG

Students were helped to understand the importance of University values and involvement;
to familiarize the new students with the college experience; and
to introduce students to the wealth of MUCG resources.

The group was noted that they were the largest group of all the batches admitted since the inception of the University.
Welcoming the group, the Principal of the University College Very Rev. Prof. Samuel K. Adjepong advised the group to pay much attention to character building which is seen as useful to the global economy at large.
He told them that MUCG will and is ready to help them achieve their goals as students so that they justify what they deliver after life in MUCG.
He cautioned students to plan to succeed to be educated and not only to acquire knowledge. He called on them to participate fully in the forth coming 10th anniversary scheduled for next year and will be lunch at the coming congregation in November, 2009.
In attendance were the Vice principal, Registrar, Deans from the various Faculties and heads of departments.
