| Rev. Bruce Obtains Ph.D |

Rev. Daniel Yao Bruce of the Psychology Department, Methodist University College Ghana has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Christian Counseling from the International Theological Seminary in Florida, U.S.A. The award was conferred on him by Rev. Dr. Samuel Oheneba Dornyo, a representative of the Seminary, at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Adenta, of which Rev. Daniel Bruce is the District Pastor. The immediate-past Moderator of the Church, The Very Rev. Prof. Livingstone Buamah, in a sermon said Christians should not just be thinkingabout living in glory forever

but should be much more concerned about coming down to help the needy with their blessings. He advised Rev. Dr. Bruce not to see his promotion as one for its sake but use it as an opportunity to bring change in the church and wherever he found himself. 'Be mindful that you have sworn to counsel and be there for members of the church and people who will need your assistance,' he added. |
The Moderator of the Church, The Rt. Rev. Francis Amenu congratulated Rev .Dr. Daniel Bruce on his meritorious achievement and encouraged him to be 'determined, be of good courage, and always have a purposeful approach to life.' He said the achievement should be a source of inspiration to all as it took him a lot of effort to attain his desired goal. The Moderator admitted that, with the achievement of Rev. Dr. Bruce, it was natural for people to expect more from him than before and advised him not to be anxious but to know that with prayer, he could deliver to the Glory of God.
The representative of the International Theological Seminary, Rev. Dr. Samuel Ohenaba Dornyo, who presented the certificate to Rev. Dr. Bruce called on members of the church to support him at all times to make his work a success. |
